63% of working American adults say they’re vacation-deprived. So even if you don’t feel like you are, over half of the people in your lives desperately need some time off!
Everyone’s been working so hard, and you all deserve to let your hair down and jet off on a getaway. There may only be a few days where you can all take days off work, and not to mention, it’ll probably be the only time for years when you can all get together!
This means you need to have a vacation party to remember. Here’s how.
Host a Game Night Party
You don’t have to be a geek to enjoy games. We all played board games as kids, and it’ll be nostalgic to dust those off and revisit them. Plus, you can put an adult twist on them: losers have to drink!
If you’re trying to save money on vacation party planning, then this is ideal. Have everyone bring their favorite games (so no one has to spend extra money), and go to the local grocery store to stock up on drinks and snacks.
Someone can volunteer to have the game night party in their room, so you won’t have to go far either! You can also all get dressed in your PJs for a comfy time, and it can even turn into a slumber party.
Make sure you quiet down when the hours get late though. Someone may be trying to get a good night’s sleep next door.
Have a Pool Party
If you’re all staying at the same hotel, then chances are, there’s a pool there. What’s better than throwing on your flattering bikini and relaxing with a few drinks there?
Of course, you should always ask the hotel if it’s ok to have a party at their pool, and be mindful of other guests, especially if you’re there in later hours. Otherwise, check the local area to see if there are properties that’ll let you host a pool party.
When you have clearance, then bring a nice stereo system to blast some catchy tunes. Purchase some pool floats so people can float around lazily. You’ll get extra points if they have drink holders, as they can sip on their cocktails while doing so!
Go on a Camping Party
This is an excellent idea for those who love the outdoors; it appeals to those with a “wild” side, after all!
Spend the day hiking and admiring the views from the trails. At night, pitch your tents and set up a campfire to gather around.
Get out the bag of marshmallows to roast, as well as graham crackers and chocolate bars. After you’ve had a good rest, then it’s time to party!
Play some music (don’t disturb others in the surrounding area though), and pour each other drinks from the flasks you’ve brought. Or take swigs if you don’t want to bother with cups!
While you’re gathered around the campfire, you can play different games, such as truth or dare or charades. Once the night winds down, you can tell each other stories (real or fake).
Have a Wine Tasting Party
When party planning, consider a wine-tasting party. This is great for all travel destinations since you can taste what the local area has to offer. It can be a fun way to rest your feet too.
Depending on where you go and what your budget’s like, you can either book a professional wine-tasting party or have one in your hotel room. Either way, you’ll want to have plenty of sophisticated snacks, like cheese, crackers, and grapes.
Rent a Party Boat
If you’re going somewhere with access to the water, then something you must do is rent a party boat. What’s great about this idea is it’ll be fun, no matter what the weather’s like outside. So even if you’re going on vacation in the winter, you can still have a blast partying away on a boat.
When you find a party boat rental, you’ll have a grand time away from other tourists and people. You’ll get a glimpse of how stars party, especially if you get a luxurious package.
On board, you’ll have access to bars where drinks will be flowing. You can grab a beer, then head to the dance floor to show off your dance moves. Or you can head outside to enjoy the sea breeze and amazingly blue and clear waters.
No matter what, you and your friends will create exciting memories without any strangers crashing your good time.
Have a Beach Party
On that note, have a beach party if you’ve got access to soft sand and the stunning coast. While it won’t be as private as going on a party boat, you’ll have lots of space to do a wide variety of activities.
Gather up beach chairs, towels, and umbrellas, then spread them on the beach to claim your party area. Depending on what’s available on the premises, you can also bring some games, like frisbee, cornhole, volleyball, and soccer.
To keep everyone’s stomachs happy, consider barbecuing. You can either use the public grills or bring disposable ones, then serve up things like hamburgers and hot dogs.
Don’t forget about the drinks either! Serving your group cold and tropical drinks will make you a fantastic host.
Have a Fantastic Vacation Party
